What is a colposcopy?
Colposcopy is an exam that is indicated after a cytology whose results show alterations, allowing to detect problems such as precursor lesions of cervical cancer.
Colposcopy is performed by the gynecologist in the office. Not being a routine exam, its performance is used in the treatment of these lesions and in their follow-up, to find out if they have been cured or if there is progression.
