What is vitiligo?

It is a localized or diffuse depigmentation of the skin, characterized by patches of white skin, which appears at any age, more frequently in young adults.
What is vitiligo?

These lesions result from the partial or total absence of melanocytes. There is a wide variability of results with treatments, but their effectiveness does not usually exceed 75% of repigmentation.
