Influenza A: learn to recognize the symptoms
Influenza A is caused by the influenza A virus and the symptoms are similar to those of seasonal flu, both of which are very contagious. However, it can cause higher fevers and more severe muscle pain, vomiting and diarrhoea.
Most common symptoms: fever, cough, stuffy nose and sore throat, as with seasonal flu, headaches and body aches, fatigue, chills and vomiting may also occur.
Prevent yourself: adopt respiratory etiquette measures, wash your hands frequently, ventilate spaces, avoid crowds.
