Scoliosis: know the warning signs
Did you know that, in a classroom, at least one student could have scoliosis?
Characterized by an S or C-shaped curve in the spine, this condition is usually detected in adolescence and most often has its origins in a genetic alteration, which makes any preventive action difficult. Due to its unpredictability, it is important that parents, family doctors, pediatricians and even teachers and coaches are aware of the following signs: asymmetry in the shoulders and/or waist, protruding shoulder blades or uneven hips.
