What is endometriosis?

Endometriosis is a clinical process in which the cells that make up the endometrium are outside their normal location, making it impossible to prevent or cure. This disease causes very disabling pain, which can occur in conjunction with menstruation and, initially, is subject to treatment with anti-inflammatories or the pill.
